MSI

Hello,
It was suggested that I uninstalled Norton's Internet
Security and then install it again. This was to get
Norton's settings back and to get rid of ours. Now when I
try to install it I get a popup message that says "The MSI
must be installed through setup!" Norton's can't help me
because it is a Microsoft file. Microsoft can't help me
because XP was factory installed. Dell wants to search
our computer using the XP disk and then reformat. After
doing some Google searching I think it is a Microsoft
Installer and searching our computer we have all different
kinds of installers. What could have happened to the MSI
and how can I get it back without having to reformat?
Any help is much appreciated!!

Installer version 2.0. The other versions of Windows do
not come with 2.0 so they updates for them but I do not
see a link for XP.

Version2 for Win2000 and NT will also work with XP.

Use the download link for the version 2.0 installer there. This is the one
that is missing on your system.
