msi trying to reinstall all the time

I have recently downloaded a couple of different applications to my
computer and now when I try to save my work in Visual Studio or I try
to run an application in Visual Studio the msi installer will try to
reinstall the last thing that I have already successfully installed.

The msi installer was trying to reinstall something earlier and now
that I have installed something else, it tries to reinstall the latest
install.

Could it be a system variable of some kind?

This has become such an issue as of late, in a major way. I thought I had
most of it worked out, but it doesn't seem to be universal. There is a
newly documented regsvr32 command that works for some will look through my
notes. Good luck in the meantime!
