MSI packages

Hi,

I need some help/advice for installing MSI packages throught Active
Directory. I've read something about Advanced Installer Professional 4.7.

Is this a good tool?... Has someone tested it?... Is there a better
choice?... I hope someone give can help me.

This tool isn't really about "installing MSI packages" but rather about
creating them.

They have a free version but there is also a free version of WInstallLE
(light edition) on the Server cdrom tools so you can try them both.

Visual Studio can create MSI also.

Is this a good tool?... Has someone tested it?... Is there a better
choice?... I hope someone give can help me.

What languages and tools do you currently use to create applications?

I don't use many languages. The client applications we use in our domain
are:

Office XP / 2003
Windows Media Player
Messenger
Internet Explorer
Acrobat Reader

With this information what tool do you advice?

The question was really about what language you used to create applications?

Tools are mostly irrelevant. Group policy can deploy MSI files, so yes, if
you haven't got a tool to build MSI files you'll need one, but that's
separate from Active Directory. Tools here:
