MSI (microsoft installer) Problem

I have recently downloaded "Nortan Internet Security" from the Nortans site,
but whene i try to installit i get the messege "Error 1772" now i have
cheacked the nortans help and support site and they say it is a problem with
"msi" and that i should go to this page to workout the problem
"http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315346"
and i have tried everything in there appart from the last one because when i
go to "cmd" and type "ren msi.dll msi.old, ren msiexec.exe msiexec.old, ren
msihnd.dll msihnd.old" it says cannot locate file, So i was just woundering
if anyone had some idea of what is going on and what i might need to do to
fix the problem.

Hi Lachie,

Try going into the system folder first. From the command prompt, run:

CD\
CD\Windows\system32

Then run the rename commands.
