GuessWho

I've setup a Vista box with one of these boards that I purchased from
ComputerGeeks back in Sept.

The box works fine with an Athlon64 Venice core 3000+ cpu and a 6200 pci-e
card except the board I received doesn't have a JFP2 Front panel connector;
so I have no Power LED nor case speaker.

I can live without the power LED because there are other visible indicators
that the box is powered up, but I'd like to get the case speaker working for
the beeps indicating possible problems.

I don't see anything in the manual about an onboard speaker nor do I see or
hear anything on boot.

Any suggestions?

TIA,

Wayne

Are you sure it hasn`t got a built in piezzo buzzer ?.

beenthere,

I'm not sure if it has a buzzer but I don't hear anything on boot. On my
other box I hear a single beep during boot which I believe is the post beep.
It's always been there and the machine has been running fine for a few years
with few upgrades.

However, my hearing is sufficiently bad that if it isn't a pronounced buzz,
I might be missing it.

Take out the RAM and boot it up with the cover off.

That, or look at the board more closely.
