msgd.exe error on reboot

J

Jake

Whenever I restart my system, I get an error saying there
is a problem with msgd.exe.

The debug function states unable to write to a specific
sector.

I have to hit the "don't send" button at least 7 times in
order to get through the error and to my desktop.

How do I eliminate this problem?

Thanks.

Hi

Do you where the reference to the file may have come from?

Have you virus-checked your system with the latest definitions for your AV
program?

Also try the following programs to check for any spyware that might be on
your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

Thanks Will -

I just downloaded the McAfee Internet Suite and after
removing viruses and worms, I have the same problem.

What would happen if I deleted the msgd.exe file?!
