Hi There fellow computer lovers. I need some help. After having a look in
'msconfig' I find that there are a couple of files in there that I wont to
remove. Can someone tell me how to remove these files?

What are they and where are they situated?

You remove them in the registry, from the location pointed to by
Location. (Start, Run, Regedit, OK to start Regedit.)

Provided that you're talking about items at the startup tab, it's always
best to disable unwanted startup items via the settings of the related
programs. In many cases, these settings may be accessed by double-click
or right clicking the icons in the notification area near the clock.

If there are no options to disable the automatic startup, disable these
programs via MSCONFIG in that case. Note that this does not remove the
corresponding files since shortcuts or registry entries will be removed
only.

Use Autoruns instead. Look at the LOGON tab RUN keys

If you cannot delete a few entries then maybe you have malware processes watching &
constantly adding the startup keys

Have you tried safe mode removal?

Remember, Msconfig was designed to be a troubleshooting tool, not a
"startup configurer." Use MSConfig to determine the location of the
command that is attempting to start the program, and remove it. To
cease the selective startup notifications, either return your settings
to the way they were, or permanently remove the undesirable programs
from your startup configuration.

Additionally, Look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Start Up and C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start
Menu\Programs\Start Up folders, and in the system registry, primarily in
the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
