Hi Wes,
when I go to >Start | Run | Type: regedit | OK |
Navigate to >>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Run
I find "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe"<
and that is in the Start Up line up too,but the other one
doesn't even start with "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\" it just
starts with"SOFTWARE" so I can't even look in the Registry
to find it..So I assume it is nothing, since nothing has
happened after I unchecked it.
Thanks either way for your input.

Apparently, if there is no path, or maybe an incorrect path, in
Value Data, the item shows up blank in msconfig | Startup. Also
if Default under Data is blank (nothing there at all) instead of
(value not set).
Start | Run | Type: regedit | OK |
Navigate to >>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Run
What do you see in the right hand pane?
Do you see an entry with blank (nothing there at all) in the Data
column?

When I went to msconfig-startup,I found one item,
that had no name in the Startup or Command collum,
just this under the Location collum:
"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Window\CurrentVersion\Run"
I unchecked it,and all seems to be running,
but what is it? Thanks for any info.
