msconfig startup apps keep changing

Each time I start up one of the startup items is copied 8-10 times on the
startup list.

I also get a dialog (on cold boot only) that says some file can not be
found. The dialog title looks like Japanese. The file that can not be found
also looks like Japanese.

What's wrong?

Check your system for "hijackware".

Dealing with Hijackware
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm#tshoot
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

I highly recommend using HijackThis
(http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) to identify and
assist in the removal of these bad guys. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.

shit, sorry, I replied to your reply last night, but it is NOT here. There
is a rule in my system: If I wait and monitor the ng that I posted to, after
1 to 10 minutes I will see my post. HOWEVER, if I just see it in my sent box
and log off with out waiting to see it posted to ng, it NEVER gets there.
This happens EVERY time.

Yesterday, I said thanks, I'm checked those sites, used HijackThis, deleted
some registry entries and am going to post to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/,
