msconfig error message

Every time I try to make a change to start up using msconfig I get the
following error message

"An access denied error was returned while attempting to change a service.
You may need to log on with an Administrator account to make the specified
changes"

It then gives you the typical resart your computer now or later. I get this
message even though I am logged on as an admin.

When I do restart the computer the changes I wanted to make were made, so
this error is really nothing more than a nuisance, however does anyone know
why I get this error and what I can do about it?

I have been getting the same error message. I have read in several
forums about this annoying little bugger. Many posters want to place
blame on ZoneAlarm and/or HP printers. I have never had ZA, so that
wouldn't be the case with me, however, I do have an HP PSC 1401. I
would appreciate any help anyone can give.

That doesn't explain it for me. I'm actually getting this on BOTH my desktop
and laptop, the desktop has an hp printer but the laptop does not (well it
does now, but it didn't when I started receiving this message). I do not have
Zone Alarm or whatever it's called on either computer.

Still getting this error and haven't found an answer for it yet. Anyone know
anything new?
