msconfig equivalent

Louis

Hi,
Would anyone tell me the "msconfig" command equivalent in
Windows 2000. There are folders that open automatically
at startup and I don't want them to. I also get an TFTP
prompt at startup that I want to stop from opening. Any
help will be apreciated.
Thanks

Hello Louis,

There isn't an MSCONFIG in Windows 2000. However, if you have a Windows XP
system, you can copy the MSCONFIG.SYS from that system to your Windows 2000
box.

start up regedit and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Run
and you can also use sysedit to edit the other system
startup files, also check in the startup group under
start menu/programs
