msconfig, Device Mngr, slave, mmc and regedit, restore problems

I have Win XP, sp2 on a 2.6ghz PC. msconfig, Device Manager, the slave drive,
mmc and regedit, system restore, CTRL+ALT+DEL, and safe mode aren't working.
Sometimes the floppy drive won’t work. I’ve done virus scans, Spybot and
adAware, without luck. I can see the slave drive (Western Digital 80gig) in
BIOS and Explorer, but when I try to open it, I get a “drive e: not
formatted. Do you want to format?†error. I ran Norton System Doctor and a
disk diagnostic tool, but it says there is no error. Before all this started,
I crashed repeatedly, but when I tried to do a repair, the administrator
password wouldn’t take. I have another user account that has Admin
capability. I did delete one user ID, but I don’t know if that is what cause
the slave drive problem, but I could get to it before that. I have an XP, SP
2 disk. It is not OEM. Do I need to reinstall? I want the stuff on the slave!
I don’t have any way to back up the C: drive. Please help.

Run the repair consol. Insert your xp cd, boot from disk, then run the repair
consol

you will not need to reinstall any programs or delete your docs, but you
will need to reinstall drivers

this usually works in these sorts of situation

Good luck

That makes no sense. You don't run a repair from the Recovery Console. From
the sounds of it, running a repair won't help anyways. Sounds more like a
combination of massive infestations and damaged hardware. Time to take it to
someone who knows what they are doing.
