msconfig and task manager

Hello All,
2 problems i am having when i open task manager it
opens and immediately closes. Anyone experienced that
and if so how did you resolve

2nd Msconfig executable never opens when i go to
start,run and type msconfig. Any help is greatly
appreciated thanks.

w32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

Try this to:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:

Download then Merge the edit on line 251 then delete all the files mentioned
in the above link.

This behavior, which also often applies to MSConfig.exe and
Regedit.exe, is typical behavior of more than one virus/worm, the
three below being the most common:
