msconfig and regedit problem

can not run regedit or smconfig. screen pop up for a about a tenth of a
second. if I bring up the windows task manager. It says I have Zone alarm
running.I shut it down and I can run regedit and msconfig. Idon't have zone
alarm so I installed and uninstalled it but it is still there. I can run
the two programs if I shut zone alarm down.I go to regedit but not sure
where to find zone alarm .Or what to do Thank you Bill Holmes

It's caused by viruses. Run a full system virus scan.
