Defs 5767 now available. However, I had trouble updating - When checking for
updates kept bouncing from 5765 to 5767. Finally reverted to the old copy
and paste approach and now everything seems ok.

This behavior seems to be de rigueur early in the cycle--it goes away once
all the download servers are in synch, over time.

And here we go.. again..

Bill would you happen to know why
this update shows:
Definitions Increment Version: 120/120
Definitions ThreatAuditThreatData: 1286620
Definitions ThreatAuditScanData: 2764571
Definitions DeterminationData: 614782

Last update:

Definitions Increment Version: 118/118
Definitions ThreatAuditThreatData: 1306338
Definitions ThreatAuditScanData: 2772542
Definitions DeterminationData: 611858

Am I incorrect by assuming that all the definitons
would increase? ScanData and ThreatData
have decreased. This happend with the last update
where the set of final #'s indicated that ThreatData decreased.
Dave M had ventured a guess at the time thinking it might have
involved f.p.'s being responsible for decreasing the #.

Anyone guess at to why and if this does happen, why it has
only happened with the last two set of updates.

I warned I be back at update time.. ;-)

Oh no Conner...
Your not gonna catch Dave M responding to these update notifications... NO WAY
I'm gonna wait until the weekend... heck maybe next week before I update... lol

I see no point in looking at the sizes of the individual files in any
relative way. They are indicators that may help in seeing that your file is
the same as my file, but I don't have any basis for saying that a file of x
size is "better" or "newer" than a file of y size--so I ignore that data
completely--all I am looking for is the 120/120.

Thanks Bill. I'd just as soon not be questioning it anyway. (I have
a bad habit of quesitoning too much) From now on.. I shall only be
looking at the increment version. And will rest easy doing so.

And to Dave M.. LOL

I certainly wouldn't swear there's nothing to be learned from those
numbers---but I don't have any inside information about what they mean--or
why they vary, so I'll ignore them.
