Why do Microsoft released a new RPC patch ?
What was the problem with the former KB823980 ?

Why does the IE6SP1 patch from August 2003 break the installation of SMS2.0
SP4 remote control.
NB: After installing the cumulative patch on XP SP1 the remotre control
agent is unable to install. Note the HKLM\Soft\Ms\SMS...\REmctrl key is
corrupted and has wrong permissions even after correcting the ownership.
Correcting the permissions also don't help ;-\
