MS XP Home: Full Sytem Backup to Remvable Hard Drive Or Buy MS XP Professional

How can I setup to automatically backup my entire
Central Processing Unit (CPU) to a removable hard drive
with Windows XP Home as my operating system, a Dell
Dimension 8200 CPU and a backpack hard drive
(removable). I have fear of total melt down and would
like such a backup every night.
Am I dreaming ? Is it so complicated I should just
buy Microsoft Windows XP Professional now rather than
waste my time?
Please help!

THANK YOU for YOUR TIME!

I use Back Up My Pc. It works fine. Can buy it for
around 30.00 or cheaper at Sam's Whse. or you can
download a trial copy from www.stompinc.com. If this
website is not correctly spelled then search for Record
Now and it will take you to the site.

You can do a complete back up or just back up whatever
files you want to.

Last I knew, Backup MyPC does not support external hard drives. Am I wrong on this? Btw, I use both Backup MyPC and Drive Image. Drive Image is for disaster recovery, mainly. I use Backup MyPC for backup of critical data files on a daily basis to various media (tape, CD, hard drive). But Backup MyPC is not good for disaster recovery, even though they advertise a disaster recovery function.
