OK, I messed up & removed da' Works. My OS is Home XP.
How do I re-install? Thanks, LF

MS Works is an application separate from XP and is not a part of the
operating system. You either have a separate install CD for Works or it
came as a part of a bundle and is likely located on a recovery CD in which
case you will need to run recovery. As this will likely wipe the drive and
place your system back in its factory fresh state, you should first back up
all your data files.

Backup important data before you do anything else.

If the uninstall of Works happened within the past few days try running
System Restore. Go to Start->Help and Support->Pick a task and click the
System Restore link. Then follow the wizard to Restore your system to a
previous date like the day before the uninstall. If there is an entry that
says "Uninstalled MS Works" then select it and click Next. System Restore
will bring your computer back to the state it was in at the time and date
that you roll back to.

However if the above doesn't work then you need to reinstall the program
using your MS Works CDs. MS Works is not a component of Windows XP and is a
separate program. sometimes a manufacturer will bundle it with the computer
and preinstall it. If your system came with Works preinstalled then read
the documentation that came with the computer. Some manufacturers will
supply you with Recovery CDs and you might be able to reinstall individual
programs from the Recovery CDs. Sometimes the only way to get a program back
is to do a complete restore from the Recovery Disks. Unfortunately doing
that will revert your system back to the state it was in when purchased and
will cause you to lose anything you did to your system after purchasing it.
Remember to backup first before you do that!

Greetings --

Insert the installation CD and follow the on-screen instructions.
