MS Word toolbar icons

For MS Word how can I replace or delete all toolbar icons with just the
related commands?
 
In Word 97-2003, click Tools | Customize; that way you will be able to edit
the toolbars.
 
Open Tools | Customize, right-click on a given button and select "Text Only
(Always)." Repeat as needed.
