I'm sorry, I was asking you a question. I was wondering if there was an
easier way to save a style to your Normal.dot without opening the Normal.dot
or using the organizer like I've been doing. From Word, click on TOOLS,
OPTIONS, FILE LOCATIONS. Where it says User Template, double click on it.
That is your Normal template and it shows you where it's stored on your
computer. Then what I do is go to MY COMPUTER on my desktop and go to where
it said my Normal Template is stored. Then when you see it, right click on
Normal.dot and choose Open. Now it's opened in Word, the title bar (the top
line in Word) will say Normal.dot. Make whatever changes you want there.
Your margins, spacing, styles, anything that you would want to show up in a
blank document in Word. When you are done, press Save.
OH, before you open Normal.dot, make sure you have Word closed. so when you
are done editting your Normal.dot and pressed save and close, Close Word and
reopen it and you'll see in that blank document all your changes were made.
For instances I hate that Word gives you the 1.25 left and right margins so I
opened Normal.dot and changes my margins to 1" all around so now every
document I create has those margins.
Good luck.
