MS Word 2003 - using check box to auto insert text from another do

How would it be possible to use a check box named pressure that when ticked
to auto insert text from another doc about pressure, and have other check
boxes named differently say temperature which link to different docs to
import a block of temperature text? I know i shall need some VBA code but I
am a complete novice. Any ideas if this is possible?
