can u add fill-in form text box to existing word docx?

I created a document and want to make it a form with fill-in boxes for text
information (e.g., name, product selection, date) - i did not start it as a
template, just a plain word doc.

Seem to remember old Word had capability to insert form fill-in text boxes
into Word docs ...
