MS Word 2000 Send To function

In MS Word for Office 2000, is there any reason the File-> Send To -> Mail
Recipient function seems to start but not complete? It work perfectly in the
Vista Wordpad version.
 
Do you have either Outlook or the Outlook MAPI handler installed?
Those are necessary for Word to handle the Send to Mail Recipient
function.
