MS VM / Sun JAVA problem

I am having problems simply scrolling players
lists on gamecolony.com cribbage. They suggest that its my Sun java version
1.5.0 and suggest my installing the "more reliable" Microsoft VM.
Sun java seems to work proper everywhere else but I cant swear its not the
problem. Not wanting to cause problems with other sites now working I am
asking for opinions and suggestions.

Had a similar situation, we had one site that required ms java. So we
installed it and deselected "Use JRE for <applet>" in Internet options ->
advanced tab. Other sites that used the Sun java still seemed to work fine
and would load sun java. The one site that needed the MS java worked too.
