I am getting an error message MS Visual C++Runtime Error in Outlook XP which
doesn't allow me to open the program. I reloaded Windows XP due to another
issue and this problem has just started. I also have Norton AntiVirus and
Norton AntiSpam installed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as
this is most frustrating. Thank You. AnnH.

I had the same problem and this is what I found and the
solution.

1. I had the preview pane on.
2. I got a email from Yahoo that someone sent me an
article.
3. When the preview tried to show the email from Yahoo it
would crash.
4. Any other email worked fine.
5. When another email was at the top of the list and was
being displayed it worked fine.
6. As soon as I deleted the other email and the Yahoo
email was at the top, it would preview and crash.
7. Send yourself an email from something other than
Yahoo. Just keep opening Outlook and you will eventually
receive it and it will bump the Yahoo email lower so it
isn't being displayed.
8. Once Outlook is up then turn off the Preview Pane and
then delete the Yahoo message.

If it's not a Yahoo message it may be similar, just look
at what message it is locking on and do the same thing.

Dave.
