MS USB Intellimouse Optical

I am using the above MS mouse with Intellipoint software
installed ver. 5.00.174.0.
I am regularly getting an error message that the
Intellipoint software encountered a problem and needs to
restart.
My question is, which Windows Service(s) are directly
related to this device/software.
I am using XP Home SP1.
I prefer using this version of the Intellipoint software
because the newest version lacks some of the features I
need.
This error started occuring after I disabled a number of
Services. I am in the process of enabling them one by one
to determine the offending service, but this will take
some time and I was wondering if anyone knew which ones
would have a direct effect on this software.

While this is not much help to you, I have just installed or rather
reinstalled WINXP Pro and the Intellipoint mouse software, downloaded
yesterday from MS and am having no problems whatsoever. I would suggest any
problems you may be having is likely due to your particular configuration
rather than any problems between the WINXP Program and the mouse software.

Yes, I figured this much out, since the problem only
started after I disabled some Windows Services.
I was just hoping that someone might know what services
this particular USB mouse or the Intellipoint software
would be related to.
In the meantime I will continue to enable, one by one, the
services I have turned off until the problem goes away.
