Intellipoint 5.2 compatibility with former Intellimouse models

I've bougth MS Intellimouse Explorer for BT and installed included
Intellipoint 5.2.
The idea from the beginning was to use different mouses at different places
(home, work)

It seems that Intellipoint is not full compatible with former Intellimouse
devices, like:
- Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer (release 1, not 2.0)
- IntelliMouse Explorer (bellow release 4.0)

Custimazition of functionality for Large and Small thumb buttons doesn't
work with these devices!
In fact these "old" models are not listed at IntelliPoint devices list :)
Any ideas?


Also, MS Intellimouse Explorer for BT comes with an wireless transceiver for
BT 2.0.
Do you know if it is supposed this mouse to work with other releases BT
dongles, like 1.0 and 1.1?

The new IP 5.2 doesn't support the following mice

Intellimouse Explorer 1.0, 2.0, 3.0
Wireless Intellmouse Explorer 1.0
and possibly more that I can't recall at this moment

Goto the download site, and make the appropriate selection for your
mouse/OS/Language combination, and you'll be given the latest, most
functional supported version of Intellipoint
