MS USB Disk Pro USB Device driver?

Howdy!

I just got a Microsoft USB Disk Pro USB Device 128MB Flash memory. It came
without any software!

WinXP format utility shows only FAT and FAT32 formats and nothing about
accessing the "secure area."

How do I access these features?

Thanks!

"B" what? How does this help?

If you mean the B drive, isn't that reserved for floppies? On my computer it
assumes the next available drive letter, which happens to be E:.

When I insert my USB Flash Device into my PC the Device
takes on the next available drive letter, namely e:\ just
like to yours, but it also opens up access to the device
on another letter which happens to be b:\ - Have you
looked?????????

That's interesting! I thought you meant B instead of E.

Anyway, no, it isn't that way on my PC.

Maybe I need the correct format tools to set it up that way. Perhaps the B
drive is for boot support?

Thanks!

I don't see anything about a Microsoft USB Disk Pro. Where in the world
did you buy this? Also, it showing up as drive B:\ on your computer
should not happen. It appears that the drive works, but you can't get
encryption to work on it or some security thing? Windows will not
natively format the disk NTFS as that ends up causing many problems. If
you still want to do this, check at www.sysinternals.com for NTFS
Floppy. That program will allow you to do what you are trying to do ;)

The B drive situation is someone else, not me.

The device came from Microsoft. I found some pictures of it on
idpartnersonline.com, but they have already disappeared. The "documentation"
refers to that website, but every other reference on the product is to
Microsoft.

Received mine recently and could not find on MS elsewhere easily.

For 98 drivers and security password protect program see

http:\\www.integralmemory.com\download.aspx

Select USB 2.0 Flash Drive

The security program allows you to password protect the device.

Won't format or convert to NTFS so far for me. Have formatted it with
FAT32 Never saw a 'b:' drive as thread suggested.

Removable storage in My Computer -> Manage -> Removable Storage also
offers interesting options to try.

If anyone has more to offer please post to this thread.
