firstly, this particular freeware is specialized
for a certain product.
secondly, windows version of undelete is
the recycle bin.
there is a point in time to decide whether or
not deleted files should be given a chance
for being restored. And the recycle bin is
that pivoting point that determines whether
or not that file space allocated should be released
to the operating system for use-at-will
However, there are third party software's
that can undelete files after they have
been emptied from the recycle bin.
But the success of undeleting, eg restoring,
files beyond the recycle bin depends on whether
or not the o.s. has not re-used that file
space and overwritten it with new data.
There are a couple of freewares out there,
but Recuva is a very good free alternative
to recover deleted files....
Conversely, if you want to remove
deleted files forever then you need a data scrubber.
