MS "Streets & Trips" presumes that Outlook, not OE, is my mail client

I noticed a street name misspelled in MS Streets and Trips. There is the
functionality to feedback reports of such errors. But when I finish going
through their checkboxes and composing the body of my message, and click to
send an e-mail message, it tries to bring up Outlook, which I do not use and
never have, and it does not let me choose Outlook Express, which IS my main
mail client. There is an Outlook message to the effect that I have no
Outlook profile.

It is frustrating that they do not give me an e-mail address for reporting
errors in the Streets and Trips databases. There may/must be one, but I did
not find one.

Is my route to fixing my inability to report errors through S&T somehow, or
must I establish an Outlook profile if I insist on reporting errors?

Hi,

In Internet Options => Programs, is Outlook Express set as the default
mail client?

Following your suggestion, I found in MSIE -- by taking the path
Tools/Internet Options/Programs/E-mail -- that the mail client was set to
Outlook. I changed it to Outlook Express. My error reporting went through.
Thanks for leading me to the solution.

I nearly always use Firefox, using MSIE only when some site is programmed
in a way incompatible with Firefox. Apparently, MS Streets and Trips goes
to an MSIE database to bring up the E-mail client.

Incidentally, I did learn that the feedback address is (e-mail address removed).
And that among the several sbcglobal.net identities that I use, the outbox
that the report message is in is the one I use for this newsgroup. OE
removed the attachment of the error report, from my Out box, as unsafe!!!
