Help installing Streets and Trips

[ECLiPSE 2002]

I have a new PC with XP home operating system and would like to
install Microsoft Streets and Trips 2001 on my new PC. I have been
told that it is possible to install older versions of Microsoft
Streets and Trips, on XP computers and that others have done so
successfully.

When I installed the complete program which comes on 2 CDs - a Setup
CD and a Run CD it tells me that the installation was successful, but
when I try to open the program the computer screen goes black and a
pop up message appears which tells me...."Your registry setting for
this application were not copied correctly. To correct these setting
run Setup again for this application from the location where you
originally installed it."

Anyone have any ideas on what steps I can take to resolve this
problem.

I have no idea how to run Setup again from the location where it was
originally installed - which is C:\Programs\Microsoft Streets and
Trips. I tried the ADD/REMOVE CHANGE feature and reinstalled the
entire program but got the same registry settings pop up message.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
