MS Personal Folders backup tool

When I use the Tool to backup Outlook 2003, it creates two backup files:
Outlook backup.pst and Archive backup.pst. I can easily import the first
file, but I can't get import to work on the Archive backup file. I've tried
all sorts of settings in the final Import Personal Folders dialog box, but
nothing works. I get the error message "the source and destination folders
for this operation cannot be the same". I set the path to the backup file
correctly, but I don't have any control over the "destination folder". The
dialog box is not clear on this point.
Any suggestions?

Its creating two backup files because you selected to backup both the
outlook.pst and archive.pst
These backups are merely copies, so in OL File>Open......browse to the file
you wish to open, then if neccessary copy data from backup to wherever

I'm assuming you wish to access these backups because the origonal pst's are
damaged/removed?

Yes, I wish to access these backups because the originals were either damaged
or removed. Yes, I could use File/open, but what do you mean "copy data from
backup to wherever"? How do you do this.

I'm assuming OL has a functioning pst, open the backup and simply copy data
from backup to this pst. (drag and drop)
In the case of the archive you may wish to create a new archive first, or in
explorer rename Archive Backup.pst to Archive.pst then open this pst.
The backup addin will simply, when run, create another new Archive
Backup.pst

The Import/Export functions, when used on a pst, can lead to data loss
