Hello everyone,

I have Windows XP Professional. MS Paint was the default image editor for MS Picture Viewer on my computer and always opened when I clicked on the edit icon in the MS Picture Viewer. However for the last 2 weeks, when I click on the edit icon in MS Picture Viewer, the Viewer closes but MS Paint does not open and nothing happens. How can I make MS Paint the default image editor for MS Picture Viewer once again ?

I have tried going into the Registry into HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image\shell\edit\command and In the Data column I see the following string:

"%systemroot%\system32\mspaint.exe" "%1"

However MS Paint still does not open when I try to edit from MS Picture Viewer. Can anyone help ?
