I use XP Home edition, SP2, and MS Outlook 2002 SP3. Auto-archive is working
away archiving my messages but I am unable to access the archive. I believe
the archive is created as a .pst file , and PST is listed under "file type",
in My Computer>Tools>Folder Options. However, in the 'details of PST
extension' field on the File Types window, the 'opens with' space is empty.
What program should be entered?

The Archive is just another pst (personal folder) so you set the file
association to Outlook.exe.
However you *shouldnt use* explorer to open an outlook pst.
In OL File>Open>Data File .........browse to the location , by default
archive.pst.
You can leave the archive open in OL if you like, it wont stop any
archiveing process.

Thanks for the response but I am still unable to open the .pst file to look
at the archive. In the folder list, under 'Archive Folders' clicking on'sent'
or 'inbox' opens the pane with nothing in it except 'There are no items to
show in this view'. I have tried the Inbox Repair Tool but nothing was found.
