I can not unblock access files
applied patch Level1Remove to access files but did not work
added the string as per MS ".exe; .mde .mdb .MDB

Thanks Rock

I believe that your Level1Remove string should actually look like:

exe;mde;mdb

Not
..exe; .mde; .mdb

exe;mde;mdb;mda;mdt
I added them all in and still can not get access file to
open
Thanks Rock

Rock,

What is your build number from Help - About?

The format for the Level1Remove data is:

..exe;.mdb;.xyz

It is a semi-colon delimited list where you include the dot (.) on the
extension and there are no spaces in the list.

Also, are you connected to an Exchange server?

Thanks,

service pack 4 build 2195

..exe;.mde;.mdb;.mda;.mdt

no exchange server

Thanks Rock

The dot before the extension is not required, it would work either way
with any version of Outlook that supports the Level1Remove value.

Rock,

What is the build number for Outlook (Help - About). The Level1Remove
feature was only available after certain builds. You might as well update
the client to SP-3 if it's not already there.

However, if you are already at the SP-3 level then I suggest you search the
registry for a DWORD called "CheckAdminSettings". If you find it, rename the
key holding this DWORD. This registry setting takes precedence over the
Level1Remove registry data.

Hope this helps.
