MS Office replacement

bsuite is a compact and f unctional office suite-much less than OO.
?

But if it does not open and save the .doc and .xls formats, it is not a
valid contender, since the majority of the world uses MS Office.

THINK IT THROUGH!

Why would anyone bother trying out garbage?

Damn, having more time than sense last night, I downloaded the thing.

First, none of the apps would start from the bSuite front end -- every one
of them gives an error. I tried to start the apps individually, and only
one, the calendar, would start at all.

This seems to be so much nonsense, such a waste of time. To the
author:didn't you even test the stuff before posting it??? Your constant
pushing of this suite here on acf led me to believe there was at least
something worth looking at. Instead, you wasted my time and resources.

I should have paid attention to what everyone was saying.

I just coultn't get the word processor to work . It froze with the
splash screen every time.

I have tried LBA office. First impressions on it are great so far. If all my
tests work out, I may even switch from OO to LBA Office. Very nice software.

I have d/l'd the LBAOffice and installed. It appears to be
very much like the OpenOffice 2.0 preview version that came
in a couple of weeks back with a few tweaks. The license
even refers to the openoffice.org roots of it. The install
looks nearly identical. The d/l package is very comparable
in size.

Yes, I did notice that too.
Regardless, we all win.
Two excelent open source programs to play with :o)

The only argument, now, will be which one to keep :)

Oh hell, I was curious about what everyone was so upset about. A

You know what that did to the cat, eh?

Not that I'd disagree w/ you assessments but .. could you,
_please_, mark these replies? Anything in subj. would be nice.

Mark them in what way, and for what reason? They are a normal reply to a
normal post - why should they be "marked" any more so than any other
posting? In short: No, I don't think so.
