MS jvm dependencies

docker

I have been tasked with the responsibility of removing the MS jvm from
our environment in my organisation. We have a large technical
environment with hundreds of applications, both desktop and intranet.

I have looked up the microsoft website and the various documentation on
this subject but I have a few basic questions:

If an application currently uses the MS JVM and the jvm is removed from
the desktop and replaced with Sun's JRE, Will the application just use
this JRE instead ?

What is the best strategy for testing everything is working ok once the
MS JVM is removed ?

What is the best approach for narrowing down the search to only finding
applications with MS JVM dependencies (ie if I search for OBJECT tags,
i get shockwave flash references....))

Has anybody gone through this exercise recently and would they be able
to share their experience ?

Many thanks

Docker
I did remove it, but I fell on my ass and end it up install it again.
My problem was Yahoo! Messanger's games (in the IM window). Ya, they
worked technically speaking, but had some major screen corruption make
in it impossible to play.
Other than that had no time to test: got to frustrating and install it
again.
Sorry if is not much, but this was my experience!

Peace out!
