I have MS Internet Explorer and I was wondering if it
costs to connect to it, and does it charge for however
long you stay on-line?

Well..yes but it depends. If you have dial-up there's usually an hourly
charge. If you have DSL or broadband it's a flat monthly rate.

IIRC, my dial-up ISP charged a flat rate up to a max. no. of hours per
month, and you could choose to pre-pay for a few hours, quite a few hours,
a heck of a lot of hours, or infinite. So, as long as you were within
the limits of what you'd bought, there was no hourly charge.

OTOH, the phone company may charge by the minute even if the ISP does not.
