"MS Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"

IE 6.0 does not work any more with the subject message
pooping up and then closing. I have downloaded a fresh
copy from the Microsoft site and it still does not work.

I have switched my browser to NETSCAPE 7.2 and that does
work!! It is a little slow in loading and there are
several websites that only accept IE; so I would like to
get IE 6 to work. Does anyone have any suggestion(s)?

Have you checked your system for viruses(Kaspersky et al) and malware
(Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware etc)? Have your run 'sfc \scannow'?
