MS Intellimouse wireless and SP1 problems

I have the MS IntelliMouse Explorer. It worked under Windows XP but since I
downloaded Service Pack it gives me problems. It comes initially on when I
start the computer, but then after a few minutes of use, the green light on
the receiver goes out and the wireless mouse does not function anymore.
I downloaded and installed the latest driver from MS for this mouse, but the
problems do not go away now for days.

Anyone having this problem too?
 
USB or PS2 connection? If USB try plugging into one of the other free
USB connectors.
 
I am doing this now. Have done it before. So far it lasted 30 minutes and
still going. But Why?
