MS graph applet chart - Pasing data from excel

H

Hari Prasadh

Hi,

I copy data from excel and paste in to MS Graph applet datasheet (chart)
within PPT.

The applet already has some dummy percentage figures.

When I paste the actual percentage values from excel (in excel they are
formatted as percentages only) then in applet graph the graph shows figures
which are OFF by a factor of 100.

On the other hand If i actually type in numbers then the applet graph/data
sheet works fine.

Please tell me where am going wrong.

For example if one dummy value is 36% and if I paste 48 % over it the graph
will show 0% and if I write 4800% then it displays 48%.

Thanks a lot,
Hari

Are the number formats set to percent in the PPT data sheet? Select the row
on the datasheet, right-click and choose Number.

Hi,

The applet already has some dummy percentage figures.

As: You've typed 20.4%
or: You've formatted the cells as Number:percentage and typed e.g. .204

It may be better to force the issue by doing the latter then make sure the
values from excel are normalized to the correct range.
