ms dos from xp

I need to know how to get an ms dos prompt from windows
xp (I'm trying to reinstall windows 98, because I like it
better and wish I never installed XP). The win 98n disk
tells me that i have to reboot in dos to install win98.
I already made a ms dos startup disk and it doesn't
really work, I tried to use all the normal dos commands,
but i couldn't even change the drive letter and help
doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated

If your Windows XP drive is formatted in NTFS you will have to run fdisk and
then format your drive with Fat32. once you do that you can start the
setup.
