MS Defender is blocking AVG Free Antivirus

Hello everyone,
I have a little problem. I installed MS Vista 5536 and re-installed AVG's Free Anti-virus version 7.1.0.405 and now every time I reboot Defender blocks it from starting up. I right click on blocked programs and click allow and it works fine, however on the next reboot its the same old problem.

Please Help. Thanks!

For the install did you right click on the setup file and choose Run as
adminstrator?

It's as Rock says, because Vista comes with Defender and a large number of
people have used AGV. The UAC implementation requires a number of .exes and
programs to be right click run as admin. Trend and McAfee have AVs that
are working on the latest builds of Vista through 5600. Trend is working
very well for me. MSFT has a page linking to it for Vista.

Thanks for this post. This did the trick to install both AVG and my CD/DVD
burner program. No more annoying blocking of AVG at startup.
