Hi All,

I run a number of WinXP virtual machines to enable me to run applications which it is not economic to convert to any other OS.

Some of these are WinXP of different flavours NoSP, SP1, SP2, and SP3.

On occasion I have re-install the OS from CD. This entails activating the software at the end of installation. I have no problem with this, but am concerned about the future when MS stops supporting WinXP.

Will they stop the activation procedures?

Has anyone heard or read about what MS is likely to do?

Who can tell with Microsoft :D You should be ok for quite a few years yet though.

Moka 5 might be a solution for you. They do a free service and a paid for. I tried out the free player and the barebones installs with some of their live pc offerings and also created my own live pc. I was pretty impressed with the way they worked and the ease of use. You will have to do a bit of initial reading and testing but you may find it a time saving solution in the long run, depends on your set up and usage.
Well worth a look.
