ms access username password issue

I created user accounts but the user name and passwords (with the exception
of admin) don't work. I made the usernames and passwords through the wizard.
Now, the user password prompt shows up on databases that i have not secured
yet. What am i doing wrong?

By default the other user names have blank passwords. Have the user open the
database with a blank password and then change it. To get the prompt to
apply to only secured databases you need to add the /wrkgrp switch to the
shortcut used to open the database. The general syntax is:

"fullpathtoMSAccess.exe" "fullpathtodatabase.mdb" /wrkgrp
"fullpathtoworkgroup.mdw"

Hi.
What am i doing wrong?

You're currently joined to a workgroup where the default Admin user has a
password set. For the solution, please see the link to the tip, "How to open
databases and only be prompted for User ID and password for the secure
databases," in
the Security section of the following Web page:

In adittion to what the others have said: there's no way to get it all
right, except by following a written list of explicit instructions,
adding & omitting nothing. In your case, you missed a key step right at
the start of the process: creating a new workgroup file with a unique
WID. You need to find some written instructions. Check the links the
others have given, or look fo the "Access Secuity FAQ", often
referenced in this newsgroup.
