I would like to share access to an access db over the internet. This will be
a low use, limited user environment. What is it that I need to do? Settings
etc...

Thanks in advance

Nice bummer first thing in the morning...thanks a million...

I suppose the better question now would be, how to synchronize databases
over a high speed connection.( Though High Speed seems now to be a much more
relative term)..Thanks for the info Wayne.

What does this mean
how to synchronize databases over a high speed connection

Web based - intrenet (not internet) - lan - BE/FE, remote access, etc, etc,
You need to give more info.
Have a good look at Albert's excelent site. It gives many methods of doing
most "stuff". More importantley it tells you what "not" to do !!

Consider using a VPN (virtual private network) instead of the internet. By
using a Terminal Server, you can achieve faster speeds and use the database
you've already built, without any modification. I just finishing setting up
such a network for about 50 clients using a Microsoft Terminal Server:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/terminalservices/default.mspx

Only a dozen or so will be concurrently connected. For other, less expensive
connectivity, you might consider WinConnect:

http://www.thinsoftinc.com/product_thin_client_winconnect_server_xp.aspx

which can be set up for as many as 21 clients, using an XP machine as a
server.

Arvin,
I don't have windowserver 03. Will the VPN allow Access sharing using a
Vista on a home LAN with a SBC router to an XP computer in a different city
using a TDS router/ISP?
