MPG Playback problem

I keep getting some weird error when i try to play mpg
files, with every single media player that ive tried...
wm9, realplayer, xing mpeg player, QT, etc... the error
is: C00D11CD
When i click for web help it says that they do not
support this problem anymore?!?!!?!?! I can play every
kind of file, except for mpg....whats going on???
