MPG FILES

I have the XP computer and have downloaded the version 9
of the Windows Media player and still cannot open/play an
mpg file. Any suggestions and/or help available? Thank
you!

What happens when you to try open/play an MPG file and if it gives you an
error message, please give us the contents of that message.

from the sounds of it, ur missing the codecs to play it. there are many
codecs floating around the internet that media player uses but are not
made/supported by microsoft. a lot of mpg files are mpeg2 files, which the
decoder usually comes with any dvd program. if you dont have a dvd program,
you can download a few free mpeg2 decoders on the internet. just search
google for "mpeg-2" and u should get some good results. if you still have
trouble, write back.
