Mpeg4 into Powerpoint

We are trying to insert .mp4 (mpeg4) file into a ppt presentation but it
fails.
We can however play the file from Quicktine 6.4 on the same computer.
Is Office XP able to play this file type?

Mike,

You will have to download the Windows version of the MPEG-4 codec and
install it on any machine you want to paly the presentation on.
