I could not get the presentation to run on my machine either. Can you point
me in the direction to get the codec for the mpeg.
I wish it were that easy! Your going to need to learn what codec was used
to create the media file. You *may* be able to do this with a utility
called "GSpot". (Do a Google for it.) Once you know what codec was used to
make it, then locate a download source for it, install and register it, and
give it another try.
As an alternative, you can download and use the 14 day trial version (not
limited in anyway) of PFCMedia, an add in I wrote to handle just such
situations.
http://www.pfcmedia.com I believe it should handle the issue
for you. Note, as you may not have the required codec PFCMedia may ask
permission to download and install the needed codec. You should allow it to
do so.
Once the media has been processed by PFCMedia it will then play in any
version of PowerPoint or the PowerPoint viewers on all other PC's without
the need of a special codec or other software.
